Education Funds update – July 2021

July 5, 2021 by TAFlyingMonkeys
Education Funds update - July 2021

In 2020 no education grants were given out (from money collected in 2019).

However, rather than have second year without education grants we issued 15 education grants (amounting to FJ$9600) between February and March 2021 to support largely tertiary level students from Nakorotubu District.

The selection of the students were done through applications submitted to the Chairman of the Management Committee, Mr Emori Latibau, based at the Ra Provincial Office.

The Committee met in February 2021, with the Board of Trustees present, and selected the students following an SOP that has been drafted.

The money was distributed through the Trust Fund to reduce the admin burden on the management committee.
