The Trust has been awarded a Boat Donation from WCS through a grant from the Blue Action Fund (and a small contribution through the Trust) is in the process of buying a boat to enable the Management Committee to conduct patrols in the Park.
It was scheduled to be built and arrive in May 2021, but is delayed due to COVID-19.
In addition, in late 2020, WCS supported training of community fish wardens to participate in the patrols, and training select members of the community to get boat licences.
An SOP will be drawn up through the BIOPAMA grant to guide monitoring and surveillance.
